Lukas Wright
Piano
Lukas Wright was born and raised in the Rogue Valley. At 8 years old he started taking classical piano lessons and continued his study at Southern Oregon University where he had the opportunity to study under Dr. Aleksander Tutunov and earn his degree in Piano Performance.
During his time at college, Lukas started teaching piano to neighbors and family friends. He loved it. He started reading books and articles on the best teaching methods and combined these methods with his own expertise in order to develop an engaging, instructional, and effective teaching style.
Lukas knows one size doesn’t fit all, and so he customizes the curricula based on the students interests and needs, still ensuring the student will understand Music Theory, technique, note reading, song composition, different styles, different eras, etc. Lukas guides the student with a Socratic approach that teaches the student how to effectively become their own teachers, able to teach themselves any song they want to learn.
Over the last 10 years Lukas has taught in Music Schools in Portland, OR, and in Boise, ID, and has now landed back in Southern Oregon with his Wife and Son to continue his career of teaching. Lukas Wright currently teaches privately from his home in East Medford on his Baldwin Upright Piano.
Adrian Wright
Guitar, Bass, Ukulele
Adrian’s love of music began at a very young age. He was born into a large, musical family – four of the five Wright siblings are professional musicians. By the time he was sixteen, Adrian learned to play guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin and banjo. He began to formalize his training in college, studying music theory and composition. During his college years he started a rock band with his older brother; they placed second in the Southern Oregon “Battle of the Bands.” After college Adrian began recording and producing his own music independently, distributing it on iTunes and Spotify. Recently, he joined a band called “The Jared Gutridge Duo,” for which Adrian sings harmony and plays lead and rhythm guitar. The popular Duo performs regularly at wineries, weddings, and restaurants throughout Southern Oregon. They have even performed at the Britt and the Criterion to a packed house. Adrian continues to develop as a musician, and is now pursuing classical guitar and piano. Adrian has been proud to join his brother Lukas in creating Wright Brothers Music, where he thoroughly enjoys teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele. Adrian’s love of music is contagious, and his teaching style is approachable and fun. As you’ll quickly learn!
